The cultivation of gherkins is an extremely laborious process, but in our agricultural company we minimized this.We have a special technique of hammering of stakes and then for stretching plastic nets, on which the plants grow and wrap around. We also have specialized equipment for spraying and hoeing. Every year we choose ventilated and protected from flooding fields to be lit better by the sunshine - this is one of the most important conditions for good gherkins. We choose varieties that are with small and uniform fruit, have a special sorting machine of gherkins in size, established in international standards. Aftersorting, they are dispatched to the processing plant of the company Deroni.
For the development of gherkins are necessary light, water and food.In our company we use for irrigation and fertilization drip irrigation system, through which is submitted not only water but also all the necessary nutrients for plant development. We use only quality products from authorized manufacturers and we use it for allowed values, which leads to better yields and sustainable for consumption and processing vegetables.
One of the most important conditions for the cultivation of gherkins is human labour and love, which relate to everyemployee in the company. It employs about 50 workers and 4 agronomists responsible for all necessary operations, but they are none too small: planting, hoeing, weeding, watering, spraying, fertilizing, picking, sorting and dispatch.
